Job Description:

Protecting the Network:
As a Systems Administrator Staff, you will be responsible for managing the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems, providing assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems, and providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.

Key Responsibilities:
--- Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems
--- Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems
--- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems
--- Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
--- Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
--- Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems
--- Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets

Requirements:
--- Current DoD Top Secret SCI with Polygraph
--- Nine (9) years experience as a Systems Administrator
--- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university
--- Four (4) years of additional Systems Administration experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
--- Three (3) years experience in one or more of the following areas:
+ TCP/IP, networks; computer configuration skills; remote manipulation of systems, remote monitoring and administration
+ Sun Solaris, HP-Unix, Linux, VMS, and Windows operating systems to include shell scripting and XML
+ Networking equipment and router operations
+ Smart data tagging; virtual computing; thin client applications

Desired Skills:
--- Three (3) years experience in Linux system administration using shell scripting
--- Ten (10) years of experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required
